Getting started

Install Reigh

What Reigh needs, how to install it, and how to check everything is ready.

Requirements

macOS macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon
Claude Code The Claude Code CLI, installed and signed in. Required.
git Required. Comes with the Xcode command-line tools.
GitHub CLI Optional. gh is only used to open pull requests.

Reigh runs your agents through your own Claude Code installation, so they use your Claude plan or API account. Reigh doesn’t add a markup and doesn’t need an account of its own.

Download

Download Reigh, open the disk image, drag Reigh into your Applications folder, and open it.

If you’d rather build it yourself, see Build from source.

Install the command-line tools

If you don’t have them yet:

# Claude Code
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
claude # sign in once

# git (Xcode command-line tools)
xcode-select --install

# GitHub CLI, optional
brew install gh
gh auth login

Check that Reigh can find them

The first-run walkthrough has an engine check that looks for Claude Code, git and the GitHub CLI, and shows install hints for anything missing. You can recheck at any time in Settings → General → Command-line tools.

Reigh finds the tools through your login shell’s PATH, and also looks in the usual places such as /opt/homebrew/bin, ~/.local/bin, ~/.claude/local and ~/.npm-global/bin. If yours live somewhere else, enter the path by hand in the same Settings pane and press Re-detect.

If Claude Code isn’t found, the sidebar shows “Claude Code not found — set it up”. Agents can’t work until it’s fixed, but you can still look around and set up your workspace.

Where Reigh keeps things

  • Database: ~/Library/Application Support/Reigh/reigh.sqlite
  • Workspaces: ~/Reigh/<workspace>/, with memory files, docs, each person’s folder and the git worktrees for coding tasks
  • Your code stays where it is. A project points at a folder; Reigh doesn’t move it.

See Configuration for the full list.
