Workspaces & projects

How Reigh organizes teams and the folders they work in.

Workspaces

Reigh opens on a launcher of your workspaces. Each workspace is one team, with its own look, people, departments and memory. Press ⌘⇧W from anywhere to come back to it.

In the launcher, use ↑ ↓ and ↩ to open a workspace, ⌘1–⌘9 to jump straight to one, and ⌘N to start a new one.

To change a workspace’s name, purpose or look, use Edit workspace & theme (the brush on the Floor) or Settings → Workspace. Settings also shows what the workspace has spent today and this month, and holds the message hop limit.

Projects

Inside a workspace, each project is a folder on your Mac with its own board, docs, memory and chats. The people are shared: anyone on the team can work on any project.

The project wizard (⌘⇧P) has four steps:

  1. Where does the work live? Choose or drop a folder, or continue without one. Reigh checks it and shows what it found: a git repository and its branch, a CLAUDE.md, and a README (its first paragraph pre-fills the project notes).
  2. Name it, and add notes for the team.
  3. Give it a look: its own theme, or match the workspace.
  4. Review and create.

If the folder is a git repository, Reigh registers it so coding tasks can get their own worktrees.

Switching projects

  • The dots at the bottom of the sidebar, one per project
  • A two-finger swipe across the sidebar
  • ⌘1–⌘9
  • The project menu at the top of the sidebar, which also has Reveal folder in Finder and Edit

Each person has a separate office conversation per project, so work on your app doesn’t spill into work on your website.

On disk

Every workspace has a folder under ~/Reigh/ (you can move the root in Settings → General):

~/Reigh/northwind-labs/
├── COMPANY.md workspace memory
├── docs/ workspace-wide docs
├── departments/<dept>/DEPARTMENT.md
├── people/<person>/
│ ├── MEMORY.md their personal memory
│ ├── workspace/ their scratch folder
│ └── attachments/ files you sent them in chat
├── projects/<project>/
│ ├── PROJECT.md project memory
│ └── docs/ project docs
└── worktrees/<repo>/<task>/ git worktrees for coding tasks

Your project’s code stays in its own folder. Reigh only reads and writes there through the agents you assign.
